Taiye Omokore: Empowered by Art Council of Wales through Creative Steps.

I am delighted to share that I've secured funding from the Art Council of Wales, sponsored by the Welsh Government through the Creative Steps program. This initiative aims to support individuals and organizations that have faced barriers in accessing funding. As an artist from an ethnically diverse background, I initially wasn't aware of ACW's funding opportunities. Even after discovering it, it took some time to realize that I, too, could apply.

This grant will facilitate the development of my photography skills, allowing me to become a more adept storyteller through training, mentoring, networking, and acquiring additional equipment. The support spans over a one-year period, culminating in 2025.
